A Snapshot of Your Day
As an accountant, you will be responsible for executing all aspects of accounting governance, closing and reporting activities within Regional Accounting Asia Pacific. Your responsibilities include preparing journal voucher, financial statement and providing advisory on accounting related topics to stakeholders. Besides that, you will be collaborating on various projects at local/ regional/ global level.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Responsible for all accounting topics (i.e. accounting advisory to the business, closing and reporting tasks, disclosure requirements)
- Preparation of financial statements (in accordance with local GAAP)
- Carry out tasks and responsibility in the areas of monthly closing activities, prepare and review journal vouchers, prepare and review audit reports and support audit activities (internal and external)
- Perform financial statement review and follow up on action items as a result of the review.
- Take over project management role (definition of schedule, budget, quality, risk, project changes, opportunity and resource allocation management) for process optimization initiatives.
- Communicate frequently within teams spread across the region as well as Leadership Team.
- Support ad-hoc requirement/tasks.
What You Bring
- Degree in Accounting and Finance with at least 4 years of working experience in Big 10 accounting firms
- Completed professional qualification eg ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
- Expert knowledge and experience in accounting for construction contracts, forex accounting, provisions and accrual.
- Well-versed with IFRS.
- Sound knowledge of SAP.
- Able to work independently, self-motivated, possess analytical skills and ability to adapt to change.
- Able to help other team members in providing advice for daily tasks.
- Someone who thrives in an international environment and possesses excellent communication and English skills both orally and in writing.
