A Snapshot of Your Day

Process Ownership: 
  • You will work in a team of domain authorities, in which your tasks include clarification of accounting issues, analysis of errors, initiation of any vital corrections and involvement in operational improvement activities or initiatives
  • You will take ownership of daily Accounts Receivable transactions and month-end-closing activities and ensure they are recorded in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP quality standards or any other relevant regulations and guidelines

Collaboration & Teamwork
  • You will be encouraged to collaborate and build strong partnerships with internal and external collaborators such as regional accounting hubs, local business teams, and other partners within Siemens Energy’s global communities.
  • Listen actively and continuously focused on team member requests, leading sophisticated and uncertain operational issues, while conclusively moving forward in taking ownership of decisions, together with the Accounts Receivable Senior Analyst.
  • Share standard processes with all relevant participants.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Accounts Receivable 
  • Reconciliation of accounts (Customers & GL) 
  • Payment allocation – both manual and automated 
  • Performing approved subledger correction postings and overseeing subledger correction postings for other team members (e.g. managing/writing-off of differences) 
  • Handling & processing of selected payment types, (e.g. cheques & bill of exchange) 
  • Proactively handling the resolution of unallocated / problem amounts in the portfolio and supporting resolution of unallocated / problem amounts for other team members 
  • Perform documented critical metric and general Accounts Receivable reporting tasks
  • Assisting with billing release as requested by business 
  • Perform documented KPI and general Accounts Receivable reporting tasks 
  • Where applicable, supervise the functionality and maintenance of existing automated payment allocation tools in use and identify improvements in automated payment allocation initiatives 

Credit Management 
  • Monitoring credit limits 
  • Providing input to release blocked sales orders 
  • Analyze and assess the financial statements and credit history of existing and potential new customers. 
  • Review credit applications, obtain decisions on Credit Limit Recommendations to appropriate senior / management level 
  • Implement policies associated to Credit Management activities, e.g. local country credit policy and wider global company credit policies and procedures 

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting or related field, or relevant working experience in Accounts Receivable Accounting 
  • Preferably first experiences in the field of Accounts Receivable, Credit Management & Finance Operations 
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and experience in using SAP 
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS accounting is preferable 
  • Good MS-Office skills (especially in MS-Excel) 
  • Experience in transitions and transformation projects is an advantage 
  • You are open and communicative in nature as well as fluent English skills complete your profile 
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent Mandarin is compulsory as this position will support China market
