A Snapshot of Your Day

 

How You’ll Make an Impact- Daily Duties          

  • As a Wind Turbine Technician, you’ll be responsible for the routine service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Siemens Gamesa wind turbines
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Diagnosing faults and performing repairs in a safe and timely manner
  • Climbing turbines (up to 300 feet) and working in confined spaces at elevation
  • Responding effectively to stressful or hazardous situations, ensuring the safety of yourself and your team
  • Recording and reporting service activity accurately using company tools and protocols
  • Supporting the development and feedback process for new and revised field procedures
  • Maintaining compliance with safety standards, site rules, and environmental protocols
  • Being physically prepared for job demands including ladder climbing (minimum 267 steps), lifting, bending, working overhead, and operating in adverse weather conditions

What You Bring:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in electrical or mechanical systems is preferred. Various combinations of training and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a technical, mechanical, or electrical field, ideally related to wind turbines.
  • Proven ability to work safely in a team setting and meet physical demands, including weight restrictions under 265 lbs and passing a job-specific medical exam.
  • Strong skills in planning, problem-solving, and independent decision-making with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Hands on experience with electrical systems, including PLCs and converters; customer-facing experience is an asset.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10%, Valid passport and driver’s license with a clean record are required and must be maintained throughout employment.
