About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Installation Lead at Siemens Gamesa, your day will involve supervising and directing teams to ensure the safe, timely, and effective execution of offshore installation projects. You will lead EHS initiatives, foster a Zero Harm culture, and collaborate with Site Management to enhance safety and quality standards. Your technical expertise, particularly in electrical or mechanical engineering, along with experience in Completion, will be crucial in driving project success.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide visible, solid, and effective leadership within the project, acting as a role model and advocate for Zero Harm. Implement standards, procedures, and plans to create a safe working environment.
- Support EHS topics in planning meetings and ensure all assessment, documentation, and certification processes are in place during project execution.
- Ensure all personnel, including contractors, are qualified and fully aware of project information relevant to their tasks.
- Oversee that all work proceeds in line with required documentation, permits, and RAMS.
- Drive a Zero-Defect culture by ensuring high-quality work that minimizes non-standard tasks or rework.
- Lead the implementation of Lean workflows, report deviations, and implement corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
- Monitor and control team working hours, ensuring proper registration and mitigation of excessive hours.
What You Bring
- Background as an electrician or mechanical engineer, with experience in large international manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably with offshore wind installation experience.
- In-depth technical knowledge of wind turbine products, offshore project execution, and Completion processes.
- Strong EHS and Quality focus, with the ability to identify risks before they occur. Familiarity with SGRE Enablon, QA, and EHS processes is a plus.
- Ability to handle conflicts, solve technical problems, and keep teams focused and motivated.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to travel globally and work on a rotational basis, both onshore and offshore.
