About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for measuring and satisfying Siemens Energy objectives and goals for quote and order cycle time, and pricing responsibility to meet the margin objectives of the Product Line as well as drive and improve Customer Service direct to customers. Responsible for preparing quotations/proposals and entering orders for replacement parts from inquires/orders received directly from customer or representative. Responsible for coordinating post order details between Manufacturing, Accounting, Engineering, Repair Operations and the customer to ensure on time shipments of orders.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Prepare formal bids and proposals using existing computer systems and available tools to create and enter quotes and orders.
- Participate in customer negotiations involving pricing, delivery improvements, and non-standard terms and conditions.
- Initiate engineering jobs for review and updates according to client requirements, coordinating with engineering and manufacturing to manage new drawings, revisions, and alternative materials to resolve delivery and scheduling issues.
- Manage all quotes and orders under their control, including review, verification, pricing, delivery, margins, order entry, delivery alternatives, coordination, priority fee review, returned materials, credits, and customer complaints.
- Establish lead times through current manufacturing data, direct negotiations with planners, buyers, and manufacturing personnel, and provide delivery alternatives when necessary for purchased and manufactured items.
- Apply premium charges according to current D-R published standards and through direct negotiations with customers.
What You Bring
- An Associates Degree or higher preferred, or at least 2 years of experience in a Client Facing Role.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of Siemens Energy businesses and customers
- Excellent organizational skills with precise attention to details
- Must be able to excel in a team setting working with various customers & other departments
- Must be fluent in English, C1 level preferred and US Visa preferred.
