A Snapshot of Your Day 

At the Görlitz Turbine Plant, 700 dedicated employees develop and manufacture industrial turbines for power and process steam generation or as drive machines for the global market. As a working student in the development department specializing in software, you will support the development of the in-house turbine design software landscape and play a key role in improving the software environment in coordination with our software and cloud architect.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Contributing to the decarbonization of energy systems
  • Strengthening our agile, global, and interdisciplinary team while driving the evolution of technical software for designing industrial steam and fluid turbines
  • Supporting the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our technical software solutions
  • Engaging in the quality-assured software development process
  • Creating scripts and tools to automate build, test, and distribution processes
  • Optimizing workflows within our software development team
What You Bring
  • Ongoing university studies in computer science or a comparable field in natural sciences or engineering
  • Experience with automation scripts
  • Familiarity with tools like GitLab, AWS, JFrog, NuGet, Conan, or PowerShell is desirable
  • Openness to working in a global, virtual, and interdisciplinary team
  • A high degree of creativity and initiative in supporting, advising, and developing solutions for our development team
  • Good German and English language skills
