The position is in Siemens Wind Power Service division. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining Siemens Energy wind turbines at Garden/Fairbanks Wind Farm in Garden, MI. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional service, ensuring prompt and efficient repairs, and collaborating effectively with fellow technicians in demanding and hazardous conditions.

Responsibilities:
• Enhance wind farm operations by implementing improvements in daily tasks.
• Maintain composure and clear thinking in stressful or hazardous situations to ensure safety and efficiency.
 Meet the physical demands of the role, including: Ladder and stair climbing, Prolonged standing and walking, Lifting, bending, and twisting, Overhead work, pushing, and pulling, Exposure to vibration, chemicals, confined spaces, and extreme weather conditions
•Take on additional roles and responsibilities efficiently to support wind farm operations.
 Foster teamwork and collaboration by working effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals. Approach challenges with determination and adaptability to ensure continued success in a demanding environment.



Requirements:
 High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2 or more years’ experience in a mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic field preferred. A College degree or equivalent competency in a field related to the work of a wind farm technician ie: electrical / mechanical systems is desirable. Various combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
 Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment. Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less as required by the safety regulations. Must pass a physical administered by a medical practitioner to ensure ability to safely perform the job functions and meet the physical demands of the position
● Strong ability to prioritize and plan daily/weekly work with a high level of quality orientation, ability to analyze and resolve problems independently.
● Hands on experience working with electrical systems including PLC programming and converters.
● Traveling (up to 15%) to sites within our district, training facilities in the US, or additional locations is a requirement of the job. Must be eligible to hold a valid Passport and Driver’s License.
● Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
