About the Role
A Snapshot of your day
Warranty Project Manager is established within the EHS, Quality, and Security department for Switchgears Queretaro. The primary business need is to strengthen the management of warranty claims and customer non-conformities, ensuring timely resolution and improved service quality. To address this, the role is structured around three core areas: comprehensive warranty and claim management, rigorous root cause analysis with corrective action implementation, and proactive client communication. This approach ensures that customer issues are not only resolved efficiently but also that underlying systemic problems are identified and corrected to prevent recurrence. Given the focus on complex problem-solving and client relations, the ideal candidate will be a Specialist Professional (P4) with substantial project management experience in a manufacturing or quality environment. Essential capabilities include expertise in root cause analysis methodologies, quality management systems, and effective stakeholder communication.
How You'll Make an Impact
- 40% Warranty & Claim Management
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of warranty claims, from initial client report to final resolution and closure.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as manufacturing, engineering, and logistics to gather information and facilitate claim processing.
- Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of all warranty cases, ensuring data integrity for reporting and analysis.
- Evaluate claims against warranty policies and technical specifications to determine validity and required actions.
- 40% Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action
- Lead investigations into customer non-conformities to identify the fundamental root cause using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
- Develop and collaborate on the creation of corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans with relevant operational teams.
- Track and ensure the timely implementation and verification of corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of issues.
- Analyze trends in warranty data and non-conformities to identify opportunities for systemic process and product improvements.
- 20% Client Communication & Service Improvement
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding warranty claims, providing timely updates, feedback, and formal responses.
- Facilitate continuous dialogue with customers to manage expectations and report on the progress of their claims and related corrective actions.
- Collaborate in the development of follow-up action plans aimed at enhancing overall service quality and client satisfaction.
- Prepare and present reports to management and clients on warranty performance, issue resolution, and improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related field + 5–8 years in quality/project management within manufacturing
- Strong expertise in root cause analysis, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and structured problem-solving methodologies
- Proven experience managing warranty processes, customer non-conformities, and technical client interactions
- Project management mindset with certifications such as PMP, CQE, or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client relationship skills
