A Snapshot of Your Day

The Material Handling Team Lead plays a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the distribution center’s material handling team. This position ensures efficient movement, storage, and staging of goods, while maintaining safety, accuracy, and productivity standards. The Team Lead acts as a liaison between frontline staff and management, driving performance and continuous improvement.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead and coordinate the activities of material handlers to meet daily distribution goals. Assign tasks and monitor workflow to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Train team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and standard operating processes.
  • Ensure proper handling of goods including loading, unloading, staging, and replenishment.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts and audits.
  • Communicate operational updates and issues to supervisors and other departments.
  • Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to support 5s standardization. Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular equipment and area inspections.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or warehouse operations preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations. Leadership experience preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to work in SAP systems and adapt to fast paced work environment.  
  • Valid forklift certification and experience with material handling equipment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology. Understanding of distribution center workflows and inventory control practices.
  • Ability to motivate and guide team members to meet performance targets with clear and professional communication.
