As a Senior Virtualization & Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll work in a dynamic environment where innovation meets real-world application. Your day may include designing and optimizing VMware vSphere and Proxmox platforms, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure our wind farm test environments run smoothly.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Design and maintain VMware vSphere, vCenter, and Proxmox architecture
• Deploy and configure ESXi hosts, clusters, and Proxmox nodes
• Optimize virtual infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency
• Automate routine tasks using PowerCLI or Python
• Apply security hardening and ensure compliance with standards
• Collaborate with network, storage, and application teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in VMware vSphere and vCenter administration
• Hands-on experience with Proxmox VE in production environments
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, storage, and networking
• Proficiency in PowerCLI and Python scripting
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills and great communication abilities

About the Team

You’ll join a highly skilled team based in Brande that plays a critical role in Siemens Gamesa’s innovation efforts. Our team manages an internal network zone hosting test setups for wind farm parks, operating with approximately 500 servers and 200 network devices. This environment allows us to validate automation solutions and infrastructure designs under real-world conditions. Collaboration is key, we work closely across disciplines including networking, storage, and application engineering to deliver robust, scalable solutions that support the global energy transition.
