A Snapshot of Your Day

As Traffic Specialist you will be responsible for transport coordination and follow-up to import and/or export process, from origin to destination of our materials through the interaction between the different internal areas, customers and suppliers of our business unit.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Coordinate the logistics services, forwarder, broker, overland transport company and optimize the freight cost and delivery efficiency:
• Tracking of shipments and evaluate performance to establish action plan & corrective actions to assure that all the requirements are met.
• Coordinate international inbound traffic.
• Monitoring of import and export procedures: Coordinate and expedite with customs agents the processing and issuance of import and export documents, as well as the preparation of documents for said procedure.
• Coordinating and auditing the billing process for each service.
• Coordinate all domestic traffic and material transportation.
• Support to the customs area to identify materials and documents related.
• File damage freight claims to ensure cost recovery and take corrective action with carrier.
• Participate to the freight budget planning construction
• Approval of invoices from transport companies and customs agents: You must authorize invoices from transporters and customs agents, classifying them by project and prorating them.

What You Bring

• Bachelor´s Degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, International Trade or related.
• 2 -3 years of proven experience with logistics process import and export.
• Knowledge of traffic rules, regulations, and processes governing the movement of domestic and international freight, including oversea shipments, NAFTA, customs law, certificates of origin, industry trends and practices and IMMEX, OEA & CTPAT.
• SAP and Excel knowledge.
• Experience in using transportation software.
• Proficient English level.
• Availability to travel.

About the Team

The traffic specialist reports to the traffic coordinator and is involved in internal areas such as CS, Quality, Engineering, WH and finance, also with other Siemens Energy plants related to the supply chain. Works externally with suppliers and carriers.
