A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a (Testing) Quality Engineer. This position is in the Quality Department in Richland, MS reporting to the Quality Manager. The position is accountable for ensuring product/process integrity for high voltage circuit breakers through the development and implementation of systems that support internal processes such as the nonconformance system, final or in-process inspections, root cause analysis, 8D corrective actions, and other QC related activities.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead efforts to reduce production non-conformances by collaborating with Quality Management, Engineering, and Production teams to eliminate recurring issues and manage product dispositioning in the nonconformance area.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions using the 8D methodology, leveraging internal NCRs and customer field issues to initiate and sustain improvement activities.
  • Investigate first pass yield failures, ensure containment actions are executed promptly, and complete CAPAs with thorough documentation of root causes, corrective/preventive measures, and containment strategies.
  • Support customer witness points and internal/external requests, contribute to cost reduction initiatives, and promote knowledge sharing through lessons learned and best practices.
  • Perform detailed in-process and final inspections in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, interpreting electrical schematics, product design drawings, and bills of materials to identify customer-specific inspection criteria.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional project teams, ensure timely completion of quality alerts, report quality metrics to stakeholders, and contribute to the development and revision of quality standards, procedures, and alerts.


What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial) required
  • 1 or more years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Quality related role preferred. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa
  • Demonstrates foundational knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and understanding of electrical schematics and 2D AutoCAD drawings; Preference for High Voltage products knowledge and familiarity with SAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, data mining, computer usage, and self-directed learning to support technical and quality-related tasks.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with excellent time management, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Communicates effectively through verbal, written, and presentation formats, promotes innovation, and shows a proactive, team-oriented mindset aligned with company vision and continuous improvement.
