A snapshot of your day

The Regional Project Development Manager (RPDM) will be part of the Western Europe Sales organization responsible for technical sales and order capture for complex Modifications and Upgrades of steam turbines & generators installed at our customer base in France, Belgium and The Netherlands. In collaboration with the West Europe sales team as well as the Product Competence Centers, the RPDM will be responsible for preparation of quotations/proposals, definition of the project strategy, integration of multiple product line offerings and localized content, and conducting negotiations in coordination with the Regional Sales Team and Product Line (PL) technical resources. With the understanding of customer’s needs, the RPDM will identify the equipment upgrade potential, generate customized proposals, drive customer negotiations whilst ensuring that internal approval processes and margin expectations are met.


How you will make an impact

  • Project Ownership: Manage the entire project development and quotation process from discovery to handover.
  • Sales Collaboration: Work with the Regional Sales Team to identify and develop advanced business projects for Steam Turbines & Generators Services.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute an Annual Operating Plan, forecasting order volumes and proactively developing opportunities.
  • Opportunity Management: Investigate, evaluate, and qualify business opportunities, manage the sales funnel, and ensure accurate CRM documentation.
  • Negotiation and Proposal Coordination: Prepare and conduct project negotiations, manage proposal preparation, and support cost/benefit analyses for customers.
  • Market Insight and Strategy: Incorporate strategic selling strategies, provide client needs and market intelligence, and support new product/service development.

What you bring

  • Technical Sales Experience: Over 5 years of experience in technical sales.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a combination of Business and Engineering.
  • Rotating Equipment Knowledge: Experience and knowledge in rotating equipment.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English (written and spoken); proficiency in French preferred, with Dutch and/or German as an asset.
  • Commercial and Contractual Understanding: Broad understanding to interact successfully with customers, management, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical thinking, decision-making, result-oriented approach, and good communication skills, along with flexibility, creativity, and an open-minded view.
