A Snapshot of Your Day

Combustion Turbine (CT) Parts is a highly profitable $50-80M product line and a critical component of the Central Generation Services portfolio in Region North America. The CT Parts Sales professional collaborates with Platform Teams to develop Service bid strategies and provides proposal documentation to support customer outage planning and win Parts orders in the very competitive CT power generation market.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Evaluate the CT Parts scope of integrated offers and participate in bid strategy discussions with platform teams to develop overall scope, pricing, and schedule for outage opportunities that leverage Siemens Energy value and satisfy internal targets and risk thresholds.
  • Provide CT Parts quotes and proposal documentation including scope, cost, availability, and recommended pricing; support LOA approval as required.
  • Support regional Parts Business Leaders with Parts clarification and quoting as needed, including identification of parts lists, and researching technical records, drawings and BOMs.
  • Work with Engineering and Supply Management to define scope, cost, and lead time for engineered components.
  • Maintain accurate CT Parts scopes and order values for assigned opportunities in Salesforce.com (SFDC). Incorporate opportunities into the Parts forecast to ensure availability of inventory.
  • Track and maintain market price levels and trends for CT Parts using bid history, customer / market drivers, and competitive intelligence; use this data to provide target price recommendations for CT Parts opportunities.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, engineering preferred
  • 3-5 years of field service and/or marketing experience
  • Knowledge of Sales and Bid Preparation processes
  • Experience developing complex bid/pricing strategies and navigating LOA process preferred.
  • Knowledge of SFDC, Microsoft Office applications, SAP, Pivot Tables, USI required
  • Hands-on experience with combustion turbines (e.g., W501D5, W501F, V machines) preferred
  • Strong customer service, communication, and analytical skills
  • Less than 20% travel
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
