Do you like to solve problems that help others and provide the best Service possible to our Large Gas Turbine, Large Steam Turbine and Large Generator customers?

Technical Clarification provides regular and needed support for parts- related queries that support Service customer needs. In a global team of technical clarification engineers, you will serve our customers with solutions based on purchasing and auxiliaries parts identification and re-sourcing requirements. In the close field of collaboration between clarification organization, service engineering and operational purchasing, you support the growing demand of critical parts from worldwide suppliers and manufactures to keep the fleet running.

With the usage of the existing Siemens Energy Data bases and with respect to your technical knowledge, you support further data quality improvement together with our global experts. In this context, you will play a meaningful role while constantly move forward from reactive to proactive clarification.

How You will Make an Impact

  • Support parts quoting, ordering and logistics process by providing technical information on parts and material master to support our Service Business
  • Support the proactive clarification of spare parts lists to allow faster response times towards the customer.
  • Active communication with colleagues and Siemens Energy Engineering, Procurement, to clarify the details you cannot clarify yourself and expedite when necessary..
  • Contribution and drive of internal continuous improvement processes.
  • Ensure balanced data quality by collecting the knowledge through adding to the systems of record or fixing them.

What You Bring

  • Graduated from university, preferred Mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering or Data Science, or gained experience in any related field (Field Service Engineer or Commissioning Engineer).
  • Minimum experience 5-7 years with product design, product service or order execution.
  • Experience in managing technical data like material masters, bill of materials, unit configuration structures & drawaings. 
  • Bring experience regarding power plants and spare parts.
  • Speak English on an advanced level. German is a plus.
  • Be a very good communicator along with problem solving and proactive skills.
  • Excellent team skills with effective communication & interpersonal skills to blend in a multicultural and cross-regional working team, but also like to work independently.
  • Terms like empowerment and self-driven-agile teams is nothing new for you.
  • Work in an organized manner and do not hesitate to ask questions and address ideas.
  • You have advanced MS Office365 applications skills, preferred first experience in data exploring as well as rough SAP capabilities.
  • Want to participate in building up a new Data & Clarifiction Management Hub in Portugal.


About the Team

The Organization Clarification & Logistics is responsible for technical, commercial, and auxiliary parts clarification, as well as Catalog and Configuration management to ensure the data quality and completeness of spare parts information. 

The Technical Clarification Team is responsible for providing spare parts lists for planned and unplanned outages, to provide spare parts recommendation and to interact closely with project management and internal partners to conduct outages as best as possible. We collaborate with various units within the organization and work towards improving the quality of parts.  

One of our main challenges is insufficient data quality. We work towards improving the quality of data to support our processes and improve customer satisfaction
