As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, your day will be filled with engaging interactions with suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met, while fostering strong relationships with our valued suppliers.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Lead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers, including Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs).
• Manage and resolve quality issues related to non-conforming components at Siemens Energy facilities and customers globally.
• Oversee suppliers in handling non-conformance issues and assist with process improvements.
• Conduct root cause investigations and corrective actions through the Problem Resolution process.
• Audit suppliers to assess manufacturing capabilities and ensure quality systems are established.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and develop supplier capabilities to meet current and future requirements.

What You Bring

Required

• Technical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM) and Quality Control routines.
• Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable.
• Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously.
• Self-motivated attitude and ownership of projects
• Ability to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end.
• Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability.

Preferred

• Experience or working with critical parts.
• Proven track record of application of Quality improvement processes and tools (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
• SAP Experience.
