About the Role
How You'll Make an Impact
- Lead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers, including Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs).
- Manage and resolve quality issues related to non-conforming components at Siemens Energy facilities and customers globally.
- Oversee suppliers in handling non-conformance issues and assist with process improvements.
- Conduct root cause investigations and corrective actions through the Problem Resolution process.
- Audit suppliers to assess manufacturing capabilities and ensure quality systems are established.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and develop supplier capabilities to meet current and future requirements.
Required
- Technical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM) and Quality Control routines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable.
- Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously.
- Self-motivated attitude and ownership of projects
- Ability to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end.
- Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability.
Preferred
- Experience or working with critical parts.
- Proven track record of application of Quality improvement processes and tools (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
- SAP Experience.
