About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
The Supplier Quality & Development Organization is responsible for securing the best performing supply base in quality, reliability, and safety. In this role you will be directly supporting the Gas Services Regional Service Americas business by qualifying, monitoring, and developing suppliers globally.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Supplier Qualification: Support a multi-functional team through assessing supplier capabilities, auditing supplier quality management systems & processes.
- Product and Process Qualification: Lead multi-functional teams in conducting Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) for commodity parts based on relevant process descriptions and procedures.
- Perform supplier oversight and source inspections. Inspections performed to ensure product quality and conformance to standards, specifications, drawings, etc.
- Supplier Development: Support supplier evaluation based on regular analysis of supplier quality. Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs, detailed root cause analysis and define appropriate risk mitigation measures at the supplier. Track implementation and effectiveness of measures.
- Nonconformance Management: Identify and initiate containment on any identified non-conformances. Follow-up with corrective action as necessary.
- Typical equipment of suppliers in scope includes valves & actuators, skids, heat exchangers, piping, pressure vessels, and other large fabrications. Handle various Supplier Quality & Development tools and databases. Experience with SAP preferred. Ensure data quality and transparency!
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or in a related field; alternatively, equivalent experience will be taken into account. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- At least 5+ years preferred professional experience in supplier quality management or quality management.
- You have technical experience with manufacturing processes (machining, welding, cutting, coating, special processes, etc.). AWS CWI certification preferred. Solid understanding of valves, piping, heat exchangers and electrical on fabricated fluid control systems.
- You have experience performing supplier qualification, product/ process qualification & supplier development. Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge and experience in auditing. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification preferred. You are familiar with National Codes and Standards (ASME, AWS, ASNT, AMPP, NEC etc.).
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time!
