About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
The Supplier Quality & Development Organization is responsible for securing the best performing supply base in quality, reliability, and safety. In this role you will be directly supporting the Nuclear Service Business in Region N. America by qualifying, monitoring, and developing suppliers globally.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Monitor and ensure effectiveness of the supplier quality audit program in accordance with Customer Requirements, National and International Standards and Siemens Energy guidelines.
- Supplier Qualification: Support a multi-functional team through assessing supplier capabilities, auditing supplier quality management systems & processes.
- Supplier Development: Support supplier evaluation based on regular analysis of supplier quality. Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs and define appropriate risk mitigation measures at the supplier.
- Facilitate recurring supplier qualification & development status meetings. Ensure qualifications are on track and potentials risks are identified.
- Develop and track organizational KPI’s and metrics to drive continuous improvement with a focus on supplier improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Key team member on implementation and oversight of supplier qualification for Nuclear Quality Management System (CSA-N299). Manage various Supplier Quality & Development tools and databases. Ensure data quality and transparency.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or in a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Experience auditing suppliers providing parts and services to the nuclear industry. Lead auditor certification preferred.
- Experience with National and International Standards (ISO 9001, N299, NQA-1, etc.).
- At least 5+ years’ professional experience in supplier quality management or quality management in the nuclear industry.
- You have experience performing supplier development to provide a global quality assured and cost-effective supply base. Comfortable and proficient working with a variety of databases, reporting and other digital tools.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time!
