 A Snapshot of Your Day

As Supplier Quality Engineer for Mechanical System and Large Steel Fabrications, you will conduct supplier qualification, development and quality assurance measures. You will be working and close networking with multi-cultural environment with different departments locally and globally. Closely collaborating with the global SCM process. SQE is using digitalization tools to improve our processes. SQE is addressing nonconformance with conducting containment, RCA, and implementing preventative measures & risk mitigation measures.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Supplier Qualification: Support a multi-functional team by assessing supplier capabilities, auditing supplier quality management system & processes, etc.
  • Product and Process Qualification: Lead or support multi-functional teams to perform Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) on commodity parts and systems according to applicable process descriptions and standards. Leading includes the planning, tracking, and reporting of project landmarks as well as budget and resource needs.
  • Support the supplier quality assurance measures along the complete PPQ. Approve supplier process via submitted Manufacturing Quality Control Plan.
  • Perform source / virtual / desk inspection of suppliers of components and systems in the area of responsibility.
  • Coordinate nonconformance processing at the supplier and ensure appropriate actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor supplier Key Performance Indicators and adjust quality, inspection, and development planning activities accordingly.
  • Facilitate recurring supplier qualification & development status meetings. Ensure qualifications are on track and potentials risks are identified.
  • Work with various Supplier Quality & Development tools and databases. Ensure data quality and transparency.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, industrial engineering, or a similar field. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Technical experience with industrial process technology and /or auxiliary systems in energy generation plants (enclosures, steel structures, piping, pressure vessels, skids, etc.)
  • Knowledge in welding and coating, familiar with respective ISO & ASME code requirements (e.g. ISO-3834, AWS D1.1)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis and other quality & risk management methodologies
  • 10 + years’ experience in technical field and/or working in Supply Chain
  • Open minded, results & solution oriented and good analytical thinking. Advanced Communication/Presentation skills, basic Commercial Knowledge.
  • Project Management Experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel ~50%
