A Snapshot of Your Day

The Supplier Quality Engineer (Fluid Systems) is responsible for securing the best performing supply base in quality, reliability, and safety. The selected candidate will have experience working with and developing domestic and international suppliers supporting ramp up and serial production. You will be directly supporting the Gas Services Central Global Customer Operations business by monitoring and continuously improving liquid and gas supply system suppliers!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Supplier Monitoring: Perform supplier oversight and product inspections for regular project execution to ensure compliance with specification. Inspection types include visual, dimensional, weld, coating, pressure, traceability, quality records.
  • Supplier Audit Program: Perform routine audits according to supplier risk categorization and audit program. Audits are according to ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001.
  • Nonconformance Management: Identify and initiate containment on any identified non-conformances. Follow-up with corrective action as necessary.
  • Supplier Development: Support supplier evaluation based on regular analysis of supplier quality. Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs, quality root cause analysis and definition of appropriate risk mitigation measures at the supplier.
  • Controlling and Reporting: Generate periodical quality performance reports and ensure appropriate improvement actions are initiated. Manage various Supplier Quality Management tools and databases. Ensure data quality and transparency.
  • Typical equipment of suppliers in scope includes valves & actuators, fluid system skids / packages, pumps & motors, compressors, filters, flow meters.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a similar field; An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • 8+ years preferred professional experience in supplier quality management, quality management, or engineering in the Power Generation, Oil & Gas, or Process Industry; Candidates with more experience may be eligible for a more senior level position.
  • Extensive knowledge in welding, coating, material cleaning & preservation, and inspection; Familiarity with ASME (II, V, VIII, IX, B31.X, B16.34), ANSI FCI 70-2, AWS (D1.1, D1.6), or EN / ISO equivalent code requirements is required.
  • CWI and/or CSWIP 3.1 and/or IWE certification preferred; NACE (AMPP and/or FROSIO) certification preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in auditing. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001; Lead Auditor certification preferred.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 35% of the time. Must have or be able to obtain a passport.
