A Snapshot of Your Day
Conduct supplier qualification and development for Casting, Machining commodity. Daily experience with Power Generation Core Engine parts with high technical and quality level. You will be working and close networking in a multi-cultural environment with different departments locally and globally.
LET’S TALK ABOUT YOU
- Supplier qualification with a cross-functional supplier qualification team, including assessment of supplier capabilities and initial auditing of suppliers in the assigned supplier base for Castings and Machining (both large and precision machining)
- Lead cross-functional teams to perform Product and Process Qualifications (PPQ) according to applicable process descriptions and standards. Support the suppliers to follow Siemens Energy Quality Management Process and usage of related tools.
- Monitoring of supplier quality performance
- Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs, quality root cause analysis and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation measurements at the supplier. Track implementation and effectiveness of measures. Monitoring of corrective and preventive actions of the suppliers
- Early supplier involvement supporting the global supplier quality team in the product development process.
- Planning and execution of regular supplier audits
- Proactive collaboration with a global team and internal customers
What You Bring.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering/technical field, Master’s degree preferred
- Experience in production methods of castings and large and precision machining
- At least 8+ years of relevant professional experience in quality management, engineering, manufacturing, or purchasing
- Several years of experience in the qualification of suppliers
- Profound knowledge in the application of quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA
- Knowledge of ISO & ASME Standards
- Proficient usage of MS Office applications as well as SAP Materials Management and Quality Management
- Very good collaboration and communication skills
- Business fluent in written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel, nationally and internationally
