A Snapshot of Your Day

You act as a change agent in an individual corporate responsibility where you are a key participant in a multi-function team. You would be developing and implementing critical initiatives aimed at improving the performance, capabilities, and collaboration with specific suppliers supplying Castings, Machined Parts, Large Steel Fabrication & Mechanical Systems. You would be solving critical supplier issues related to quality, capability, cost. You would be leading, influencing or participating on global teams with multiple experts and enjoy fully applying the team’s expertise along with your own.

How You will Make an Impact

• Develop and lead innovative strategic programs / projects aimed at improving the performance, capabilities, and collaboration with specific supplier partners to enhance the overall effectiveness of Strategic Procurement. This can include proactive strategic supplier development requirements such as capacity, yield, technology improvements, innovation etc. or reactive quality and delivery performance issues
• Use problem solving methodologies to diagnose supply base issues, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, reporting to management, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are identified and implemented
• Leading includes planning, tracking, and reporting of project achievements as well as budget and resource needs.
• Develop systematic methodologies, new approaches and standard process guides using experience gained from conducting Supplier Development activities. Share them with internal and external business entities to improve the overall Supplier Development competency across Siemens Energy’s supply base.

What You Bring

• You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or higher in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering or a similar field. Equivalent combination of education, training, and quality / procurement / supply chain experience will be considered.
• You have at least 15+ years of professional experience in a supplier quality management, strategic procurement, quality management, manufacturing or related technical area
• You have shown experience as a change agent leading Supplier Development and/or facilitating projects / Task Forces and running virtual multi-functional teams in an international environment. You are a self-starter with strong initiative, determined and self-reliant; your organizational, strategic, analytical thinking, leadership skills and intercultural expertise round up your profile
• Experience/certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, SCRUM, production planning, capacity ramp up, data analytics etc. is desirable
• You have shown Project or Program Management skills, particularly the ability to keep projects moving forward, proactively planning multiple steps ahead and calling out obstacles quickly for resolution
• You are fluent in reading technical documents, communicating facts and results
• You are willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time.
