A Snapshot of Your Day
Buyer is efficiently driving operational purchasing processes. The Buyer purchases goods, materials, and services to ensure that the operational needs are met (considering price, quality, on-time delivery) as well as continuity of supply. Processes incoming customer requests (workflow transactions, purchase requisitions, email requests, etc.) ensuring agreed cycle time and quality standards while maintaining high customer/user satisfaction.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Processes purchase requests by creating and releasing purchase orders to suppliers based on conditions negotiated by strategic procurement and requirements from projects.
- Purchase order management, including tracking/expediting to ensure a cost-efficient supply of materials in accordance with demand (order acknowledgement & order confirmations)
- Ensures items are delivered on time and expedited/ advanced where necessary
- Communicates with suppliers concerning order-related items, such as delivery dates, and raises risks to relevant partners
- Monitors supplier delivery and quality performance. Raises findings to relevant partners and addresses performance issues with suppliers as necessary
- Ensure correct good receipt process. Data clearing for OTD measuring.
- Verify Invoice Discrepancy or payment related issues concerning process & suppliers
- Handle material provision & update of SCM database according to approved change, claim management & relevant ad-hoc tasks per Procurement related Guidelines.
- Support Supplier Evaluation & Development Activities
- Demonstrates strong customer focus by handling requests in a timely manner with high quality standards
- Communicates efficiently and professionally with internal and external partners
- Actively seeks process optimization and improvement opportunities in relevant areas (e.g. MoQ optimization, bundling of purchase orders, etc.)
What You Bring
- 6 years of work experience in the procurement area, including operational procurement
- Bachelor or MBA or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
- Strong commercial and technical knowledge of procurement, project management, and international contract law
- Experience in advanced international negotiations and Strategic Sourcing
- Capable of working in a multinational and multicultural teams
