How to contribute to our vision
This request is for an additional Software Engineer / Control Engineer within the Power and Grid Management team. This role is essential for supporting the 'Golden Version CP-Tool' and enhancing the capabilities of our Power Plant Controller systems, which ensure wind farm compliance with electrical grid standards. To meet these objectives, the role is structured around three core areas: Control System Software Development, Software Quality & Testing, and System Analysis & Support. This approach ensures the development of new, robust features, maintains high standards of reliability and performance through rigorous testing, and provides critical operational support and analysis for our power plant control solutions. Given the focus on software engineering and control systems, the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in C++ and C# development, experience with control systems tools like MATLAB, and a solid understanding of grid control technology. This position requires an individual who can work independently on difficult problems and effectively contribute to a high-performing, multicultural development team.
What You Need To Make a Difference
- Develop, implement, and maintain features for the Power Plant Controller software using C++ and C#.
- Design software solutions to ensure wind farm compliance with evolving electrical power grid requirements.
- Contribute to the requirements engineering process by aligning technical specifications with stakeholder needs.
- Integrate and adapt software for specific projects, including the 'Golden Version CP-Tool'.
- Write and execute automated regression tests to assert correct control behavior, performance, and reliability.
- Implement and adhere to software cybersecurity best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high software quality standards.
- Develop and maintain testing frameworks and tools to support continuous integration and delivery.
- Perform remote troubleshooting and event analysis of power plant operations to diagnose and resolve control system issues.
- Utilize Python and MATLAB for ad-hoc data analysis to investigate system behavior and performance.
- Document technical solutions, analysis findings, and operational procedures.
- Provide technical support for deployed control systems and internal engineering tools.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as an Experienced Professional in software development, preferably within control systems or the energy sector.
- Experience working in an Agile/SAFe development environment is highly desirable.
- Design and Development C++ C#, Python (Programming Language),MATLAB, Engineering Design Process, Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA)
- Knowledge on Quality Assurance, Cybersecurity
