What You Can Expect
Over the course of two years, you’ll get hands-on experience, be actively integrated into the day-to-day activities of your teams and gain a deep understanding of Siemens Energy. You'll rapidly build in-depth knowledge, discover solutions, and experience our business first-hand.
From day one, you will work on meaningful projects with three individually designed assignments, including one eight-month international assignment.
You will be paired with a dedicated mentor who guides you through immersive experiences, allowing you to shadow various roles and positions. This support system is designed to empower you to achieve your unique career goals while fostering substantial connections with peers and influential business leaders. Additionally, you'll gain access to a wealth of resources geared towards cultivating your professional growth.
As a Grid Solutions Lead Engineer (f/m/d), you drive and lead innovation management and R&D initiatives. We prioritize fostering a culture of innovation, integrating cutting-edge technologies and methodologies into our projects. You will learn to manage the entire R&D lifecycle from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring our solutions are innovative, practical, and effective, thereby guaranteeing tangible benefits to our clients.
How You’ll Make an Impact
As part of our Graduate Program, you are on the Siemens Energy team. You’ll share our purpose in energizing society by supporting customers with transitioning to a more sustainable world and will work on real global issues, creating solutions that directly make an impact.
- Plan and monitor the execution and successful implementation of R&D projects especially in the area of DC Grids.
- Support the process for identifying, developing, and launching new portfolio elements and developing R&D investment plans.
- Identify and partner up with external R&D organizations to co-develop new offerings and drive mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Promote collaboration with innovation hubs and other execution units.
- Engage internally and externally to represent our innovation initiatives to customers, partners, and academia.
What You Bring
- Experience in R&D environment, project management, and financial controlling is a plus
- Significant practical work experience up to 36 months including knowledge from internships, working student activities or employment
- A master's degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or a similar technical field
- Minimum of 3 months of international experience gained through studying or working
- Excellent English skills to work in a multi-cultural environment, flexibility, and mobility during the program
