What You Can Expect

Over two exciting years, you’ll gain hands-on experiences and become an active part of your team’s daily activities. Through impactful projects in three customized assignments - including an eight-month international placement - you’ll gain a deep understanding of Siemens Energy. A dedicated mentor will support you every step of the way, giving you the chance to explore different roles, engage in immersive experiences, and build a strong network with peers and industry leaders.

In this role, you will join the Grid Technologies' Digital Services team, contributing to the stability, performance, and security of core IT infrastructure. You will gain hands-on experience in IT systems administration, infrastructure support, and automation while working closely with experienced professionals.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As part of our Graduate Program, you are on the Siemens Energy team. You’ll share our purpose in energizing society by supporting customers with transitioning to a more sustainable world and work on real global issues, creating solutions that directly make an impact.

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server operating systems (Windows, Linux) under supervision
• Support virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware) by performing basic administrative and operational tasks
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within Active Directory and related systems
• Monitor system performance and availability, escalating issues and alerts to senior team members
• Provide entry-level technical support for infrastructure incidents and document troubleshooting activities
• Contribute to automation efforts by developing basic scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to streamline routine tasks

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• 0–2 years of experience (including internships or academic projects) in IT systems administration or infrastructure
• Strong theoretical understanding of operating systems, networking concepts, and virtualization technologies
• Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure components such as Linux, Windows Servers, Active Directory, and virtualization tools
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to learning and troubleshooting technical issues
• Interest or initial experience in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
