About the Role
Snapshot of Your Day
This role is critical for providing on-site technical services for Siemens Energy's industrial steam turbines and generators, directly supporting customer operations and service agreements. To address these expanded responsibilities, the role focuses on three core areas: hands-on technical field service, including commissioning and troubleshooting; proactive customer engagement and relationship management; and diligent operational reporting to ensure quality and compliance.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Perform commissioning, installation, and testing of industrial steam turbines and generators at customer sites and independently diagnose and correct difficult technical problems and equipment malfunctions in the field.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and provide tier-two technical support, resolving implementation issues and responding to service calls.
- Provide technical advice and training to customers on the features, operation, and maintenance of their equipment.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
- Complete detailed service reports, track issues, and maintain accurate records of all field activities and findings.
- Adhere to all quality assurance and safety protocols during on-site work and utilize test equipment to perform quality control checks on installations, repairs, and maintenance work.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in field service, commissioning, or maintenance of industrial equipment, preferably in the energy or power generation sector.
- Technical Engineering knowledge
