A Snapshot of Your Day

Start your day collaborating with departments to ensure tax compliance across Taiwan. Drive projects refining tax strategies, advise on cross-border transactions, and manage interactions with Taiwan tax authorities. Work closely with cross-functional teams, external partners, and your small Taiwanese team, balancing operational excellence with effective stakeholder management.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead end-to-end tax compliance management for domestic and international entities in Taiwan, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings.
  • Review and validate tax returns, collaborate with external consultants, and leverage tax compliance software (e.g., local tax platforms, financial tools) while coordinating responses to inquiries.
  • Provide detailed tax advisory services, including reviewing internal agreements, new intercompany transactions, and guiding cross-border trade/mergers & acquisitions to align with tax regulations.
  • Manage all communications and negotiations with Taiwan tax authorities, including handling audits, resolving disputes, interpreting regulations, overseeing investigations, and addressing queries on transfer pricing or cross-border matters to minimize risks.
  • Offer daily tax regulation updates to the business department, including insights into enforcement trends, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Conduct cross-border transaction consultations to streamline international transactions.
  • Coordinate tax accounting and reporting (including ETR/TRP calculations), liaise with auditors, and ensure alignment with reporting standards.
  • Drive transfer pricing documentation and compliance to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (finance, commercial teams) and external advisors to align tax strategies with business goals.
  • Mentor team members, develop their professional skills, and lead your small Taiwanese team to excel in compliance and tax management.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency in tax operations and stakeholder engagement.


What You Bring  

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a tax-related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in Taiwan, including 3+ years leading a team, with a proven track record in managing tax authority communications and negotiations.
  • Profound knowledge of Taiwan local tax laws/regulations, including procedures, audit frameworks, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
  • Solid understanding of international tax regimes, with the ability to navigate global business challenges.
  • Business proficiency in English and Chinese for effective stakeholder communication.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in filings and reports.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and engage with authorities.
  • Experience with tax compliance software (e.g., local platforms, SAP) to support efficient operations.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex tax matters, demonstrating sound judgment in high-stakes scenarios.
  • Integrity, customer focus, and a proactive approach to anticipating challenges in a dynamic environment.
  • Passion for continuous learning (e.g., regulatory updates) and driving innovation in tax processes.
