A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Secondary Design Engineer, your day will involve analyzing customer technical specifications to develop tailored solutions and designing control and protection panels for HV substations, including circuit diagrams and assembly drawings. Your role will require close coordination with internal departments and sub-suppliers, as well as participation in project-related meetings, both remotely and in person.

Located in Split, Zagreb or Osijek (Croatia), you will be a part of the team of Pro Integris d.o.o. who is the 100% Siemens Energy subsidiary/legal entity.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Analyze customer technical specifications to develop technical solutions.
• Design of control and protection panels for HV substations (circuit diagrams, assembly drawings, LV equipment specification, LV cable sizing, etc..). Design of AC/DC distribution boards (circuit diagrams, assembly drawings, equipment specification, etc..), AC/DC calculation notes, substation cable and battery sizing.
• Preparation & review of substation engineering work such as single line diagrams, communication network architecture, protection block diagrams etc.
• Project related equipment selection/sizing as per IEEE/IEC.
• Technical responsibility for preparation of equipment specifications, approving drawings, bills of material.
• Coordination with internal departments and sub-suppliers for individual main components and subsystems.
• Attending project-related meetings (remote and in person).

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering.
• Proven experience in HV substation secondary design, calculation & co-ordination.
• Experience in international projects with working exposure of international standards as IEC, IEEE etc.
• Fluent in English and Croatian.
• Competency in specialized tools like AutoCAD, EPLAN, Engineering Base, ELCAD, Caddy++ or equivalent.
• Experience in ETAP, MyEcodial, SIMARIS or equivalent is considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of control and protection relays (i.e. SIPROTEC 5).
