Join us as a Senior Project Manager for the high-voltage substation component of the new Start Campus Datacenter Project in Portugal! In this pivotal role within Siemens Energy’s Grid Technologies, Substations division, you will lead the comprehensive project lifecycle from planning to closure, ensuring the successful delivery of critical power infrastructure. Imagine being at the forefront of a major development, where your expertise in managing high-voltage substation projects will drive innovation and excellence in quality and safety standards.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will lead the planning, execution, and closure of high-voltage substation projects, ensuring alignment with the overall datacenter program objectives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, work breakdown structures, and resource plans using standard project management tools.
- Monitor project progress against scope, schedule, and budget, implementing corrective actions as necessary to resolve deviations.
- Manage project risks by identifying, analyzing, and developing mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to all internal and external quality and safety standards, particularly those relevant to high-voltage environments.
What You Bring
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with a strong background in project management.
- You have a minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a Project Manager, successfully delivering large-scale, high-voltage substation or power infrastructure projects.
- Your leadership skills shine as you manage a team of 20 direct reports, guiding them through project challenges.
- You possess strong project management skills, including project schedules, implementation, and change management experience.
- You are fluent in English and Portuguese, enabling effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Project, with knowledge of Primavera P6 considered a plus.
- You are willing to travel 50% of the time between Portugal, factories, and work sites, with the remaining 50% spent in the office or working from home.
