A Snapshot of your day

Your day involves leading a large team of Field Service specialists, technicians, and supervisors to oversee site activities such as mechanical assembly, commissioning, troubleshooting, and quality assurance for turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems. You will also act as the primary interface for the client and Field Service Management, ensuring safe, high-quality outage execution through planning, coordination, and resolving complex technical challenges.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Maintain effective communication with the Site Lead, Service Engineering, and customer representatives to ensure compliance with Siemens Energy Quality and EHS standards.
  • Travel to customer sites domestically and internationally to perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on turbines, generators, and associated equipment.
  • Supervise and lead mechanical maintenance teams, oversee safety programs, and manage subcontractors during disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly activities.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, review complex task plans and schematics, and provide mentorship and technical guidance during project execution.
  • Ensure cost-effective and timely project execution through resource planning, identifying potential delays, and supporting claim management processes.
  • Support sales and planning teams with schedules, parts lists, resource plans, and provide technical assistance during customer meetings and sales efforts.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of engineering experience, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, with a bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
  • Extensive experience with rotating equipment (turbines, generators, pumps, motors) and large gas turbines, including Advanced Frames like 5000F, 8000H, and V-Frame.
  • Strong understanding of power plant systems, mechanical auxiliaries, and preventive/corrective maintenance, with experience in commissioning, machining, fabrication, welding, and NDT processes.
  • Proficiency in project management, SAP, MS Project, report writing, and planning/scheduling outages for power plant equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer relationship skills, with experience in supervising mechanical assembly/disassembly of turbines and generators.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (200–250 days/year), work internationally, and commit to demanding schedules of 10–12 hours/day for 2–10 week assignments.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
