A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Grid Technology Sales Support Representative (SSR), you’ll be the backbone of a dynamic sales team. Acting as the main point of contact for customers, you’ll guide them from quotation and order acceptance through delivery and installation. Your role ensures customers receive the right products, at the right place, at the right time.
This position thrives on relationship-building, problem-solving, and process improvement. You’ll balance customer demands with internal coordination, navigating high-pressure situations while delivering accurate results. Your contributions will directly support Siemens Energy’s mission to drive innovation in the production, transmission, and distribution of electrical energy.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Support multiple account managers within the utility sales organization for Grid Technology products, providing day-to-day sales and customer support.
  • Manage quotation intake by coordinating with business units and preparing accurate, competitive final proposals for customers.
  • Review purchase orders for accuracy and compliance, enter orders into Order Entry systems, and initiate factory production.
  • Provide proactive customer service by monitoring pending orders, resolving issues, and collaborating with factory teams to track delivery status and keep account managers informed.
  • Update and maintain CRM tools (Salesforce) to ensure accurate forecasting, opportunity tracking, and sales pipeline visibility.
  • Assist in developing targeted sales strategies, suggest process improvements, and consistently demonstrate a “Customer First” mindset in support of both customers and internal teams.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Business or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales support, customer service, or field support roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to quickly learn corporate systems (SAP, Salesforce).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and collaborative team player.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Flexibility for up to 10% local/domestic travel.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
