Snapshot of Your Day:

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer in Orlando, FL to serve as lead member of the project team responsible for the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of new industrial-scale power generation projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Responsible for design, procurement, construction, and start-up of commercial gas fired power plants and electrical switchyards.
  • Responsible for project scheduling software Primavera P6, as well as heavy industrial construction progress measurement and tracking.
  • Facilitate coordination of the teams involved with implementation of the project execution plan to ensure on time completion within budget.
  • Review customer contracts to ensure requirements are understood and clear to the organization, and flow-downs are implemented where necessary.
  • Assist in preparation of project plans for carrying out design, procurement, and delivery of all project components.
  • Support the General Project Manager (GPM) in managing risks and opportunities in the project.
  • Monitor and expedite the flow of technical documents, and ensure compliance with contract and project requirements.
  • Oversee project teams to ensure project deliverables are achieved in accordance with the schedule.
  • Coordinate with the Project Engineering Manager on project engineering activities, both internal and external to Siemens Energy, to ensure contract compliance.
  • Prepare all internal and external project reports and support site personnel in meeting project objectives.
  • Develop and coordinate strategies to close out projects.
  • 50% domestic and international travel required.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Civil Engineering, or a related field and 6 years of experience.
  • Full term of experience must include: developing and delivering projects with emphasis on integrated solutions in the energy industry;
  • Project management including cost-quality-time controlling, risk management, scheduling, stake holder management, leadership, team building, conflict management, change management and claims management;
  • Knowledge and practical application of project management methodologies and tools;
  • Commercial and contractual management.
  • 50% domestic and international travel required.
