About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day:
The Repairs Quotation Specialist will produce Inspection and Overhaul proposals for Gimpel Trip and Throttle Safety Valves by collaborating with the sales teams, shop and the corresponding personnel, supply chain, finance, legal teams, and management. This individual will be responsible for successfully owning the quote development process in line with customer requirements and in compliance to all Siemens Energy targets, policies, and guidelines!
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Lead development of the quote (L2O - Lead to Order or customers RFQ - Requests for Proposal, Quotation, Information, etc.) which includes evaluating customer’s project requirement; identifying the vital repair work scopes and execution strategy; performing benchmarking and risk analysis; and developing exceptions and clarifications as vital.
- Use the Siemens Energy web-based quote development tool (Salesforce CPQ) to create the technical and commercial quote by estimating the vital hours. Ensuring adherence to the Siemens Energy quote approval mentorship.
- Process customer purchase orders and book projects after performing vital reviews as per Siemens Energy policy. And provide concise and descriptive project handoff documentation to the executing project manager.
- Maintain accurate document storage for quotes and ensure correct data management within the established databases.
- Assist with and support the various internal projects and initiatives within the organization by focusing on continuous improvements.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree on Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field, or Proven experience on Quoting process
- 3+ years of experience with Quoting process, ERP systems, and proficiency on MS Office is required. Knowledge on Salesforce and SAP is a plus
- Good communication skills, including the ability to negotiate terms and conditions with clients and suppliers
