Regional Payroll Analyst

The Challenge

As part of a wider HR transformation program and the spin-off of Siemens Energy from Siemens, the payroll operating model moving forward will be fully comprehensive, split between a professional HR BPO for zero to gross processing and managed payroll (gross to net) with industry leading payroll providers. 

Snapshot of your day

We are looking for a SubRegional Payroll Analyst to demonstrate knowledge of processes and related systems in order to effectively perform responsibilities; resolve issues on a payroll process; audit input data entry for accuracy and report needed corrections, control payroll process and reports from payroll vendor. This position will be primary contact at an operational level with payroll vendors and internal clients.


How you will make an impact / Key responsibilities

- Play a key role in the payroll transformation in the region and support the Regional Payroll Manager with service managing the external partners and payroll providers engaged in this transformation and Payroll Operations.

- Payroll Process management

- Verify and control payroll services and process to ensure timely, accurate and compliant process alignment with legislation.

- Control payroll input to output received from an external payroll vendor.

- documentation / declaration and reports required by various authorities and institutions.

- defined by work regulations and labor law, agree with external payroll vendor at operational level to timely and accurately deliver payroll to employees.

- Supervising payroll procedures and conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records, implement procedures to streamline payroll processes.

- Identify, develop and implement process improvements as it relates to the administration of payroll management.

- Preparing reports and forecasts for senior management, including but not limited to reports to management on payroll issues and changes from internal client’s inquiries concerning payroll & answer employees’ questions about salaries and tax.

- Perform & control all internal controls on payroll data on monthly basis.

- Data Quality

- Lead and ensure data integrity between the systems of payroll vendor and Siemens Energy systems.

- Verify and control payroll data and calculation correctness, analyze compensation-related data including wages and bonuses, apply changes if vital.

- Effectively solve the issues related to outsourced payroll services delivered by an external payroll provider.

- Stay up to date on state and payroll and tax laws, ensuring compliance with all compensation and tax regulation.

- Perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance, support all internal and external payroll and time management audits.

- Handle payroll calendars.

- Develops and maintains written documentation regarding country knowledge, payroll procedures and processes.

Partnership:

- Daily cooperate with HR and finance departments Being counterpart for other HR-Services teams / regular collaboration within HR Services.

- Have a proactive demeanour with strong problem-solving capabilities and customer service orientation

- Handle good relationships with vendors responsible for payroll on country level

- Build strong relationship with teammates, cross-functional departments and management.

- Further the positive and collaborative environment within the payroll team and with cross-functional department peers.

- Take part of payroll related projects.

- Be support for less experience’s colleagues in the team, supervising and controlling their work, knowledge sharing etc.

- Supporting Regional Payroll Manager in their day-to day tasks


What you bring

- 3+ years of experience in HR and Payroll Operations, including vendor management for related countries.

- High level of affinity to and experience with Payroll solutions

- Excellent in-depth analytical skills and detail-oriented work style

- International mind-set; sophisticated experience as part of a geographically & culturally diverse team

- Excellent knowledge of MS-Office applications

- Collaborative style, happy to interact with many stakeholders e.g., in HR Centres of Competence and HR in the Regions, IT department, Finance department, management etc.

- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team, leading through building trust and empowering teams to deliver optimally.

- Team leadership experience is nice to have

- Must be good in English, and nice to have a local language from supporting countries.
