About the Role
- Country: Germany
- State/Province/County: Bayern
- City: Nuremberg
- Develop and maintain power system protection schemes and algorithms.
- Align with the HW/ SW Architect for protection applications.
- Build and test protection-related prototypes and simulations.
- Working closely with project management to meet the project targets and milestones.
- Configure and test IEC 61850 station bus and process bus-based digital substations.
- Ph.D. or Master/ bachelor degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent experience, with a focus on power system or comparable education
- Several years of experience in the high voltage substations (primary and secondary equipment) as well as experience with the engineering software for protection IEDs of different vendors
- Deep knowledge in the engineering, testing, and commissioning of digital substations: IEC 61850, Process bus, and merging units
- Very good understanding of Energy transmission and distribution systems and background in the development of power system protection concepts and logics.
- Background in modelling and simulation of protection-related modules using MATLAB / Simulink, C, C++, Python as well as knowledge about the SW platforms for development, tests, and delivery
- Very good communications skills in English (mandatory) and German (preferable)
