A Snapshot of Your Day

This role is a temporary assignment to cover a leave and ensure operational continuity within the EHS, Quality, and Security (EQS) function across the global Switchgears factory network.

The objective is to maintain, stabilize, and enhance quality performance, ensuring continuity in audits, compliance, and improvement initiatives.

This setup ensures that existing quality systems remain effective, complex issues are resolved, and strategic initiatives continue without disruption across all factories.

The role is designed for a Specialist Professional (P4) with strong subject matter expertise, capable of working with limited supervision, influencing across sites, and driving hands-on execution in a global factory environment.


How You’ll Make an Impact

Quality Assurance & Compliance Management

  • Lead and execute internal and external quality audits, ensuring compliance with ISO 9000 series and applicable regulatory standards across the global Switchgears factory network
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring effectiveness, consistency, and continuous improvement
  • Define and deploy quantitative metrics and monitoring systems to track process and product quality performance across sites
  • Ensure proper documentation and follow-up of inspections, deviations, and non-conformities, driving closure via structured change control processes
  • Support and enable management reviews, ensuring transparency on performance, risks, and actions
  • Integrate risk management principles into quality processes to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues
  • Ensure alignment with Business Continuity Management (BCM) requirements
  • Ensure strong linkage with compliance, governance, and audit requirements across Switchgears

Continuous Process Improvement & Analysis

  • Lead complex improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies across factories
  • Perform deep root cause analysis and define robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Support the SG EQS EHS area in the deployment of a Zero Failure Culture and HOP, focusing on prevention, robustness, and right-first-time execution
  • Use data analytics to identify trends, measure impact, and support fact-based decision-making across the network
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, coaching teams and promoting best practices
  • Contribute to the development and strengthening of a global Quality Community across Switchgears factories, enabling networking, knowledge sharing, and standardization
  • Apply advanced quality methods (e.g., 8D, FMEA, etc.)

Project & Workflow Management

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of quality and improvement projects, ensuring delivery with limited supervision across multiple sites
  • Define, standardize, and optimize quality-related workflows, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and execution
  • Drive cross-functional and cross-site alignment, ensuring consistency and scalability of solutions across the Switchgears factory network
  • Prepare and present structured reports on quality performance, audit findings, and project status to senior leadership
  • Provide training and support to teams on quality standards, tools, and methodologies
  • Ensure coordination with Siemens Energy Process House and document management systems (execution supported by dedicated owners)

What You Bring

  • Certification and proven experience as Lead Auditor for internal and external audits (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
  • Certification as Risk Manager
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in quality assurance, auditing, or process improvement in industrial or manufacturing, automotive environments
  • Strong experience and deep knowledge of Business Continuity Management (BCM)
  • Proven track record as a Subject Matter Expert, managing complex topics with limited oversight
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including advanced root cause methodologies
  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities, enabling influence and collaboration across the global Switchgears factory network
  • Fluency in English; additional languages (German, Spanish) are a plus
  • Willingness to travel as required (~25–50%)
