Siemens Energy is looking for a skilled Quality Manufacturing Professional to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards of perfection at our new Power Transformers Site in Charlotte, NC. Working along with multiple internal and external partners, the successful candidate will collaborate to shape and maintain quality standards, risk analysis and continuous improvement practices, in a dynamic and positive environment.

 

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support the manufacturing processes with specialized knowledge in power transformers.
  • Make use of experience to monitor process compliance with technology and manufacturing requirements of power transformers.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on quality issues.
  • Create real-time transparency for ad-hoc analysis, instant decision making, preventive action and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct on-the-job training for manufacturing staff, based on detected deviation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and customer quality standards.
  • Collaborate in the development and maintenance of business and manufacturing documentation, ensuring processes and procedures are accurately followed.
  • Create transparent and open environment for quality culture together with process owners.
  • Foster continuous improvement initiatives, applying pertinent methodologies to enhance product quality.
  • Give guidance that risks are identified, considered and controlled throughout the design and the use of the quality management system.
  • Ensure effective cooperation with both internal and external stakeholders.

 

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
  • 8 or more years of experience in manufacturing Power Transformers. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards specific to the Transformers manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with quality tools such as FMEA and 8D.
  • Willingness to work different shift schedules.
  • Willingness to travel abroad for training.
  • If not already located in the Charlotte, NC area, must be willing to relocate.
