A Snapshot of Your Day

The Quality Inspector ensures compliance with SGRE Global and local standards by inspecting incoming and outbound materials from external providers, wind farms, repair centers, and customers. In the event of material quality-related issues, the inspector will take prompt action based on root cause analysis and structured problem-solving techniques. Strong communication skills and a proactive, service-oriented attitude are essential for delivering high-quality support to both internal and external stakeholders. In this position, one must available to travel to other distribution centers in North America to perform supplier quality-related activities.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Perform incoming materials inspections at SGRE Distribution Centers (DCs) across North America (USA and Canada). Mitigate turbine downtimes by promptly carrying out component inspections when needed
  • Manage and handle materials within SGRE DCs in North America. Serve as the coordinator for all non-conformities related to external providers and ensure timely follow-up until closure
  • Coordinate non-conformities caused by suppliers and other related to NA DCs, including replacement of nonconforming materials, using structured problem-solving tools such as the 8D methodology, and ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented
  • Maintain and update SGRE software platforms related to supplier quality activities. Represent supplier quality in cross-functional teams (e.g., technical reviews, product development, warehouse operations, repair centers, quality and safety reviews)
  • Oversee the quality quarantine area, minimizing inventory quantity and cost. Issue non-conformities for components that fail to meet technical requirements
  • Identify HSE risks by conducting safety walkthroughs at SGRE NA DCs and reporting findings in line with SGRE standards and procedures. Provide support to the EQS Supplier Quality (SQ) team in the Americas and other regions as needed.

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent professional background preferred. A Master’s degree is considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge about EN/ISO standards (9001, 14001 and 45001) is considered an advantage. Preferred minimum of 5 years of experience in quality-related roles, preferably in the wind industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of drawings, component specifications, and operations within distribution centers and service department repair areas. This includes knowledge of logistics, storage, inventory management, and equipment or product repair. Proficient IT skills, including experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
  • English proficiency is mandatory. Spanish language skills are a plus. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments in multicultural environment.
  • Ability to analyze data and evidence collected during inspections to identify potential issues, risks, and improvement opportunities, specifically within distribution centers and repair areas. Familiarity with inspection techniques applicable to distribution centers and repair areas, as well as relevant regulations and standards governing these operations.
  • Knowledge or experience in managing suppliers related to distribution centers and repair areas is recommended. Ability to identify and report specific non-conformities, document findings accurately, and propose appropriate corrective actions.
