A Snapshot of Your Day

  • As a PPM you will be responsible to integrate Procurement in the project management process and project teams from the ‘bid’ phase through to execution.
  • This individual will coordinate, control and supervise all Procurement activities within the projects and introduce Procurement strategies targeting maximum contribution to the operating result.
  • This position will work with our New Unit Package team to support them through the lifecycle.
  • Key areas of importance and focus will be cost competitiveness, quality of bid information, development of responsiveness targets and improvements in accordance with the agreed customer requirements using standard tools and methods.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Early Involvement during sales phase - Analyze sales and operations planning in respect of starting/new projects in order to ensure the involvement of Procurement.
  • Participate in project/sales meetings as project core team member to provide information about supply market, preferred suppliers and supplier innovation (regarding goods and services) at an early stage to optimize supplier selection, internal workflows and processes.
  • Act has the key interface into Operational and strategic procurement resources in the project and advise all involved within Procurement to deliver optimum impact for the business (Procurement plan, target-costing) relating to budget, availability, timeline and quality.
  • Analyze scope of supply, contractual obligations and understand customer’s functional needs.
  • Identify Procurement risks, opportunities, potential changes, claims and market forces during the entire project, together with the supporting Procurement function, to avoid potential damage / exploit potential.
  • Support project bid preparation /calculation with reliable and up-to-date cost data based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and contribution to increased hit rate
  • Ensure that Procurement risks, changes to original scope of supply and potential claims (towards customers and suppliers) are covered in valid contracts. Ensure that contractual obligations (towards the customer that must be fulfilled by supplier) are covered in a way that mitigates the own risk exposure.
  • Proactively ensure Supplier On time delivery and provide status awareness of internal partners.

What You Bring

  • 5 to 8 years relevant work experience in Project Management & Procurement
  • Shown results in achieving growing value and significant savings for partner & Customers
  • Self-motivation with a mind-set of challenging the existing status quo while exhibiting the ability to collaborate and establish collaborations
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to influence and constructively challenge cross-functional project teams and business partners to achieve project goals
  • Strong abilities in gaining marketplace intelligence and communicating the commercial impact of such information back to internal decision makers for timely resolution.
  • Strong presentation, leadership and project management skills
  • Experience analysing proposals/bid packages and conducting supplier analysis

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
