A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Project Engineer, you will be the project technical lead for rotating machinery projects, leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team from sales handover through project execution, installation and commissioning phases.


How You’ll Make an Impact


  • Lead complete technical scope for supply of new packaged rotating equipment for reciprocating compressor trains and extended plant scope.
  • Working with suppliers, select auxiliary components including motors, consoles, coolers, scrubbers, instrumentation, wiring, valves, etc.
  • Provide remote and in person technical support and guidance of equipment suppliers and packagers.
  • Support development of approved vendor list in EU and packagers in Europe
  • Understand and apply technical specifications of the European Union and tangential locations (eg: ATEX, PED, CE).
  • Support Project Manager to address technical concerns with internal and external clients.
  • Work with global technical project teams of multi-discipline engineers, designers, and suppliers
  • Handle Engineering schedule, including on time release of equipment specifications, bills of material, and customer documentation.
  • Lead all technical contract requirements on assigned projects to deliver on targets and objectives, including certifications and compliance to all applicable standards.
  • Provide engineering support during proposal, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, and operation.
  • Support team with detailed design decisions to meet contract requirements, such as overall system control philosophies and main equipment specification.
  • Performs technical risk management.
  • Conduct detailed review of contract requirements and specifications and translate these to the project team.
  • Perform design analyses; calculations including compressor performance, torsional analyses, and other reciprocating compressor focused areas.
  • Develop project documentation including P&IDs, project specifications, & equipment lists.
  • Direct interaction with client facing team and client to support the technical development of proposals and solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Domestic and International travel required up to 25%.(Required to travel to site, customer interfacing, which may be in remote locations)


What You Bring


  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an engineering related field
  • Min. 5 years of experience in design, packaging, or operation of rotating equipment
  • Ability to travel in support of project execution, (primarily in Europe)
  • Ability to lead a small team and give general direction to others
  • Excellent time management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a distributed team
  • Proficient in English
  • Ability to show initiative and self-motivation to learn new things
