As a Production Planner, your role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the production process. You focus on materials and goods required during production, maintain optimal working spaces, and execute short-term and mid-term production plans. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Collaborate with management to improve production runtime.
  • Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders.
  • Develop and review production plan with Managers for approval.
  • Monitor execution of the production plan and address any issues promptly.
  • Escalate complex issues to Manager for resolution.
  • Issuing materials to production team.
  • Analyze order plans, critical timelines, and available resources.
  • Investigate production problem, analyze root causes and provide solutions.
  • Communicate production status to Mangers and Customers regularly.
  • Prioritize, plan, and schedule production operations based on back orders and upcoming orders.
  • Determine equipment, material, and manpower requirements for job orders.
  • Initiate Material Issuance Requests to move materials from Warehouse to Production.
  • Coordinate with Managers in planning and implementing engineering changes in production lines.
  • Plan inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses.
  • Monitor production progress and ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Maintain reports for production planning activities.
  • Maintain the Kanban stand-up boards for ongoing projects.
  • Interact with supply chain and logistics to optimize delivery sequences.
  • Track net allowed hours (NAH) and create status reports (Planned vs Actual).
Manage planning documentation in IT systems.

What you Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in (Mechanical engineering preferred) or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in relevant areas, demonstrating key responsibilities and knowledge as outlined.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, MS Office Apps, and SAP PP is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent team player with effective communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adept at report writing.
