A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Product Cost Analyst, you will calculate product costs, manage the data input to prepare such calculations and present them to management to receive approval for project calculations. A typical day starts by reviewing the planned cost reviews and initiating the data to be collected as well as clarifying which different departments to discuss the cost input with. In the afternoon, you analyze the cost estimates, document the findings, and prepare reports for management review. Later, you finalize and release the product cost values in SAP, ensuring that all data is accurately recorded

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Prepare and maintain the data base for quotation calculations of offers for the entire CE portfolio, mainly HVDC and SVC converters.
  • Update the product catalogue and overview based on feedback from team members and interfaces. Manage parts lists and service costs partly in SAP, partly in separate tools.
  • Calculate material and component costs, perform consistency checks and align with strategic purchasing department. Review purchasing data in SAP to identify wrong values and lead regular alignments to get SAP material data corrected.
  • Present results to obtain management approval for planned component prices and export approved price lists to update our configuration tools.
  • Perform and correlate component cost analysis and perform cost benchmarking to ensure competitive pricing. Establish and maintain dashboards to report cost development and ensure overview for decision making.

What You Bring
