As a Primary Design Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will be at the forefront of designing high-quality substation systems that adhere to the latest IEC/IEEE standards. Your work will involve meaningful projects such as turnkey, rehabilitation, and extension projects, where your expertise in substation layout, earthing, and lightning protection systems will be crucial. How You’ll Make an Impact

• Deliver high-quality primary designs for substations, ensuring compliance with IEC/IEEE standards.
• Prepare detailed substation layouts, sections, and cable route layouts for various projects.
• Design and calculate sizing for MV/HV cables, busbar, and equipment overhead connections.
• Develop specifications for purchase and review supplier offers to ensure project requirements are met.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, civil teams, and project management to ensure seamless project execution.
• Contribute positively to team dynamics, responding to ideas and concerns, and fostering a collaborative environment.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with at least 3 years of experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HV Substation design standards and technologies, with a flexible approach to design solutions.
• Proficiency in Auto desk applications, MS Office suite, CYMCAB, and CDEGS software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an excellent command of English.
• Effective problem-solving abilities, capable of working under pressure and meeting critical deadlines.
• Sensitivity and responsiveness to diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious groups, maintaining high personal standards of integrity.
