About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
The position is integrated into our dynamic and engaged team as part of the Region North America – Execution Performance department.
As a Performance Excellence Intern, it will be your responsibility to support project managers with cross-functional projects of high importance and strategic priority for Service Operations. The candidate will support project managers with planning, implementing, and tracking the results of improvement projects focused on reducing our costs, automating tracking of project results.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Support Project Managers in the development and execution of complex internal projects
- Develop clear business cases and prioritization for continuous improvement work in our service business
- Work closely with key stakeholders across functions to collect data for baseline performance, and track performance after project implementation, finding ways to automate where possible
- Track the progression of improvement projects through toll gates and modify schedules and forecasts as needed, finding ways to automate this where possible
- Automate tracking of the impact of our largest projects
- Help identify new improvement opportunities within the business, focused on reducing cost
What You Bring
- The ideal candidate for this role will be pursuing a degree in engineering, data analytics, or a related discipline with potential emphasis / experience in finance or project management
- Ability to automate tracking and reporting of project results using AI tools or similar (We currently use Co-pilot, Power BI, Excel, and Power Apps, but are open to explore new tools)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint (for tracking, reporting, and communicating with project stakeholders)
- Understanding of how to use key performance metrics to communicate status and demonstrate improvements
- Experience in Lean / Six Sigma methodologies to drive continues improvement concepts and problem-solving processes is a plus (A3, DMAIC, Process Mapping, 7 types of waste, etc.)
- Team skills and ability to collaboratively work with peers across all levels of the business both local and international
