A Snapshot of your day

A day in the life of an Electrical Engineer at a power plant begins with participating in the maintenance meeting, morning fault notification meeting, checking the urgent activities and work orders, if required replan the planned activities based on urgency and arranging the staff. Following the staff is essential to ensure all company roles, especially the HSE roles, are applied without exception. The Electrical team head is in direct contact with maintenance management for providing updates on daily activities and Agreement with other departments and team leaders is essential and should have good communication skills. The day will continue with follow the daily activities, controlling activities, the work orders, office activities also participating in the arranged meetings.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Build, update, issue, and implement work plans and orders based on OEM recommendations and internal instructions.
  • Develop and improve existing procedures, checklists, and method statements.
  • Identify root causes and implement countermeasures for faults.
  • Improve technical knowledge through training and practical experience.
  • Apply plant management systems for reporting faults and managing tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety laws and promote open communication and responsibility.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on power.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in general power plants.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth understanding of excitation, protection, SFC, generators, and transformers, preferably Siemens systems.
  • Proficient in reading and analyzing electrical drawings and knowledge of GE systems used in power plants.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
