A Snapshot of Your Day

Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with the property departments on construction, interior design, sustainability and transaction management issues. You will act as a centre of excellence for the implementation of global real estate standards in the areas of construction, office design, office and industrial fit-out as well as project management, cost estimation and execution. In addition, you will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the sustainability programme (sustainability/CO2 neutrality programme). Your day-to-day work will include a variety of tasks, from strategic planning to hands-on project management.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support the management of the Hub Rest of World team.
  • Supervise all construction and maintenance projects in the Hub RoW to ensure projects are completed within agreed-upon schedules and budgets.
  • Supervise all rental and leasing projects, including extensions, as well as all purchase and sale projects.
  • Prepare portfolio and planning data.
  • Support as the center of expertise in RoW for the implementation of global standards in construction, office design, office and industrial standards, and their project management, cost estimation, and execution.
  • Contribute as the center of expertise in the implementation and monitoring of the RE AM sustainability program.
  • Contribute to the development of site concepts, site selection, and applications.
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with partners in SCM, Legal, EHS, RE AM Zones & Regions.
  • Develop and provide effective presentations and reports for senior management.
  • Introduce and analyze IT tools to optimize processes and workflows.
  • Facilitate information flow among collaborators to ensure a common understanding of needs, outcomes, and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the RE Digi team to develop beneficial Tableau dashboards for RE management and key collaborators.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Real Estate, Construction, or a related field, or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in construction, real estate project management, real estate development/transactions, or a combination thereof
  • Ability to collaborate optimally within a team and support superiors
  • Understanding of business processes and internal customer requirements in the real estate area at Siemens Energy
  • Knowledge in project control and execution of operational tasks
  • Understanding of cost development in real estate projects, tendering, and contractor selection
  • Knowledge in the development and management of construction programs
  • Curiosity about current trends in office space occupancy, fit-out standards, and tools for efficiency improvement
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, lease and purchase agreements, and the respective processes
  • Basic knowledge of market mechanisms related to leasing, property purchases, and sales
  • Interest in sustainability topics related to emissions from the built environment and energy efficiency, as well as programs for their reduction

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Understanding of multiple corporate real estate financial matters, such as IFRS16, financial option comparison methods, and understanding balance sheet and cash implications on real estate decision making
  • Ability to demonstrate customer orientation as a proficient partner to RE Zone management
  • Advanced communication and negotiation skills, as well as strong social competency and understanding of cultural differences

Real Estate (RE) is responsible for the professional management of Siemens Energy real estate portfolio worldwide of 3.2 million square metres. The portfolio is divided into 3 operational Hubs (Europe, Americas and Rest of World) and three global departments. This includes the acquisition, setup of new commercial/industrial real-estate, renovations, disposition of locations and servicing customers with a broad set of service offerings.

In the RoW Hub, RE manages 0.98 million square meters in the Asia & Africa business hubs. To effectively manage this large real estate portfolio, RoW has been divided into four (4) Zones – China, India, Asia Pacific and Middle East&Africa.
