As a part of fundamental development in an innovative technology company in the energy sector, your focus is on the development of new concepts and basic technologies for a sustainable, secure and efficient energy future. In your basic research, you will work on solutions that are well before they are ready for the market – and that will change the energy industry in the long term.

 

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • With your support in the field of design and product development, you will work in an international team to research the fundamentals of a new generation of products in the field of high-voltage technology.
  • Performing FEM calculations and analyses for drive components of Substations
  • Creation of dynamic and static strength verifications
  • Calculation and design of bolted connections and welded constructions
  • Evaluation of fatigue strength and durability of components and structures
  • Optimizing components in terms of component strength and weight


What You Bring

  • Completed university degree in mechanical engineering
  • Very good knowledge in the field of design of GIS / AIS drive components, in the field of fatigue and fatigue strength and relevant standards, such as FKM-Guideline, Eurocode and VDI-Guidelines
  • Deep knowledge in dynamic analysis and stress strength evaluations
  • Experience with FEM software, such as ANSYS or COMSOL
  • Independent, structured and careful way of working as well as ability to work in a team and enjoy working in a competent, committed team
  • Fluent in German and English
