A Snapshot of Your Day

Your day normally begins on site in Finspång, Sweden, where you’ll collaborate closely with our skilled team within measurement and installation and where you are a part of a multi-disciplinary group mastering measurements and analysis within different fields.

On test days, you will oversee multi signal data collection systems before, during and after engine test. From the control room, surrounded by experienced R&D colleagues, you will monitor the test and ensure that your measurement systems are capturing precise, reliable data. Multiple measurement methods run simultaneously, offering a rich environment for learning and development.

Between test campaigns, your focus shifts to innovation and upgrading your measurement techniques to align with the latest technologies and pushing for greater accuracy. You’ll have the opportunity to explore new methods, take ownership of them, and lead their implementation in future test cycles.

Tests are also conducted globally and this role also offers a global workplace with many interesting challenges.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Design, implement, and support advanced measurement systems tailored for gas turbine technologies, ensuring precision and reliability in every test.
  • Take initiative in solving technical challenges—driving problem resolution from analysis to hands-on implementation.
  • Provide expert support and technical guidance to teams across product development, manufacturing, and assembly, helping to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Play an active role in the full lifecycle of your measurement systems—from installation and operation during testing to dismounting and post-test evaluation.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within a field relevant to measurements and dynamics
  • Practical experience with electronics and measurement systems, especially in industrial environments, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition techniques and technologies used in complex systems is a strong advantage.
  • Experience supporting gas turbine commissioning or operational testing is appreciated and will help you contribute from day one.
  • Solid communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Swedish is also important for effective collaboration with workshop personnel.

About the Team

You’ll be part of the Measurements and Engine Component Testing group within our R&D department—a team dedicated to advancing measurement methods for prototype testing and validation. Together, we work with a wide range of systems designed to capture critical data, and other key performance indicators.

You’ll collaborate with innovative colleagues who bring deep expertise in measurement techniques tailored for gas turbine prototype testing. The team is rich in experience and always ready to support your growth, offering mentorship and knowledge-sharing to help you continuously develop your skills and confidence.
