As a Master Scheduler with Siemens Energy in Lincoln, you will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring that our production schedules are flawlessly completed. You will dive into updating SAP with the latest data, aligning it with our Master Load Plan to make sure everything runs like a well-oiled machine. Your day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, analysing data to identify bottlenecks, and developing strategies to streamline processes. How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Consolidate Supply Chain Feedback: Gather input from Raw Material, Bought-out-Finished Goods, Manufacturing, and Build & Test teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of material requirements across all segments.
  • Maintain SAP Accuracy: Regularly update SAP with accurate data regarding inventory levels and production schedules to align supply and demand dates, facilitating effective production planning.
  • Plan and Coordinate Material Procurement: Develop procurement plans based on production schedules and inventory assessments to ensure the timely availability of materials for production.
  • Monitor Inventory Levels: Conduct regular inventory assessments and analyse usage trends to proactively identify and address potential material shortages or delays.
  • Support S&OP Process: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules and customer demand.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Facilitate regular meetings and updates with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to keep all relevant parties informed about material availability and production needs.
What You Bring
  • SAP/ERP Systems Expertise: High level of knowledge in SAP/ERP systems with demonstrated experience in operational environments, ensuring accurate data management and alignment of supply and demand for effective material scheduling.
  • Production Planning Proficiency: In-depth understanding of production planning and control tools and techniques, particularly in manufacturing and build environments, to ensure the timely availability of materials for production.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Ability to operate and communicate effectively at all levels within Planning & Control and other operational functions, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and alignment across teams.
  • Comprehensive Planning Skills: Proficient in load and capacity planning, inventory management, facility planning, budget management, and single-part planning across the organisation to optimise material flow and support production schedules.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and take timely action based on data-driven insights to proactively address potential material shortages or delays.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communicator, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and effectively engaging stakeholders throughout the supply chain to meet production and customer demands.
  • Professional Experience: Experience in manufacturing, energy, and build environments, focusing on operations and Planning & Control, with proficiency in Sales & Operations Planning, business planning, and inventory management related to material scheduling.
  • Diverse Function Experience: Extensive experience in planning and control across various functions, including operations, manufacturing, testing, project management, supply chain, and inventory planning, with a strong emphasis on ensuring material availability for production.
  • Leadership in Operations: Proven hands-on experience as a planner in a large, complex organisation, showcasing effective leadership in coordinating material flow and aligning resources with production schedules.
  • Educational Requirements: Institute of Operations Management (IOM) Diploma or equivalent (e.g., BPICS, APICS) desired, along with a high level of SAP/ERP systems knowledge and previous hands-on experience as a planner in a complex organisation. Familiarity with MES Systems, Primavera P6, and high computer literacy, including VBA and MS Office applications, is advantageous.
